\nSubject: [01v96] Fader group question
\n
\n
\n> Hi
\n> If I have aux 1 post fader on channel 1 when I move channel one fader
\n> up and down its aux send goes up and down as it should .
\n> When I group channel one to say fader 17 and turn fader 17 up and
\n> down the aux send on channel one does not follow even though channel
\n> ones fader has moved up and down . Anyone know why ? Channel ones
\n> fader is moving from grouped channel 17 but its aux send does not
\n> change ???
\n>
\n> Seems strange .

\n
\n You have to assign ch 17 to post as well this requires changing from
\nlayer 1-16 to 17-32 "while in Aux 1 mode", and you need to have Variable
\nenabled on the Aux 1 send page. When in Fixed mode you can't toggle in
\nbetween pre and post aux and it locks the aux faders. Sounds like you are
\nalready in Variable mode though, if you can move the channel faders in Aux
\n1. You can also group the aux master faders Pair/Group>right arrow>F1 Out
\nFader. You can also pair channels 1 and 17, without using the groups, by
\nVertical pairing. By default you are in Horizontal pairing. Horizontal
\npairing, pairs adjacent odd and even channels on the same layer, in Vertical
\nmode, pairing links either odd OR even numbered channels between layers, but
\nthey must be vertical for example 1 & 17, 2 & 18, 3 & 19 etc. To switch to
\nVertical pairing go to Pair/Group F1>top right highlight Vertical>hit enter
\nbutton. You should now see the Mono x 2 pair options change from 1-2, 3-4
\netc to 1-17, 2-18, etc.
\n Be aware that you can't use Horizontal pairing with Vertical pairing for
\nexample if you have ch's 3-4 paired in Horizontal mode and switch to
\nVertical mode to pair 1-17, it will switch channel 4 paired to channel 3 to
\nchannel 3 paired to 19. IOW, you can't pair odd/even channels on one layer
\nand have a vertical pair linked from that layer to another. It's either all
\nhorizontal or all vertical. Vertical pairs must share the same physical
\nfader between layers, horizontal pairing must share adjacent odd/even
\nchannels on the layer that is open.
\n
\nFor more information on Variable and Fixed mode go to page 115 and 118. For
\nmore info on Horizontal and Vertical pairing go to page 93.
