You may want to check out what Dave\nMathews Band is doing too. They are wiring up venues, or should I say,\nwirelessing venues. I don’t recall where I read about the tools and gear\nif it was an IT magazine or music related. I’m thinking IT. I don’t\nrecall Cisco but there was some specific brand they were working with and of\ncourse, it’s the high dollar stuff. I know they determined it takes many\nmore nodes than what the spec would have you believe. Also I <think> and\ndon’t hold me to this, but after they leave, the network stays. So it\nmight me interesting to know if some sort of “standard” system is\nalready beginning to develop in the large venues. But maybe that has no bearing\non what you do. Just thought I would throw that out.

I have been researching this as well. The thing I have been told is\nthat get the industrial cisco stuff and not the cheaper wireless. Huh sounds\nlike I have heard that "don't buy cheap wireless before" phrase\nbefore. Funny how things keep coming up. Anyway I am looking at using a tablet\npc instead of a laptop though.

Hi everyone,

\nI'm using the o1v96 live front of house and for 4\nin ear monitors. I
\nwish to keep the o1v96 on stage ( cable issues )\nand run the

\nno problem to using a trackball to do the mix. My\nquestions are;
\nis reasonably reliable wireless possible between\nthe o1v and

\nThanks for any advice.
