\n\n\n----- Original Message -----\nFrom: \n James Turner \n\n \nSent: Sunday, September 12, 2004 7:30 \n AM\nSubject: [01v96] 01V96 Error Message \n (Transfered from 01V message list)\n\n\n\nRonny,\n\nI ran the fader calibration routine twice after \n the error appeared and before posting here, no problems with that, My concern \n is that one of the uses had taped a couple of the faders down (obviously \n causing problems with page changes) and I'm concerned that this might be the \n sign of more problems going wrong. (Given that this desk starts on live to air \n TV on Monday morning...)\n\n\nTaped the faders down. Do you mean like \n with duct tape? If so that's a big no-no, the servo's will break if you do \n that, in fact you should never touch the faders when changing layers or fader \n modes. And with grouped faders or paired faders you should only move one with \n one finger and not touch more than one that's grouped or paired. \n\n\n\nGlad to here that the v2 upgrade will be a free \n one for 01v96, I was dreading supporting another set of features (It's been \n hard enough since the 03D was discontinued - (we have about 50 of them), and \n obviously you can't drop an 01v96 into a 03d shaped hole and expect the op to \n not notice (and the 03d's are failing faster than we can replace the \n A>D's)\n\n\nI've never had a Yam A/D go out the \n 20 bit ones on the 48k boards or the 24 bit ones on the 96k boards. It's \n always faders that go out first and I'm careful to not touch a fader when \n changin are layers or modes. It comes from my unconventional style of mixing \n vertical. Gravity is my worst enemy. The 60mm faders cost $35 from Yammy, not \n sure what the 100mm's go for. \n\nI invited James over from the 01v list \n folks. Anyone know what error message error fad_correct_init() : 0FFFF \n means?\n\nNext thing I'd try is to reinialize the \n board to factory. Save all of your scenes and libs that you have on the board \n now to SM. Than run the factory reinitialization. If you or someone is \n impeding the fader motors, you can expect malfunction to occur in a short \n time. Often non repairable other than replacing the fader motor. Most console \n manuals with motorized fadersa be quite clear about how to operate a motorized \n fader.\n\nKeep On Trackin'\n\n------Ronny Morris - Digitak \n Mastering------\n
