Actually you can dock and un-dock the\nMaster Window. It can be placed anywhere you want it. I can’t see how to\nthat with anything else though. In the Master view the dock bar is that little\ndouble horizontal line above online/offline.

Oh, OK, I see what you mean. Yes, I\ndon’t like that either. But presently I’m not using two monitors\nfor it so I never bothered to read the manual.
\n\n\n\n
You can’t undock the individual\nwindows and yes, that is a real PITA and a step backwards so I assumed there\nmust be a setting or keystroke to undock them from the main window.

“It's like in Logic now, or any\nother MS-Windows-Program.”
\n\n\n\n
Now that’s not quite true. Many\napplications in Windows don’t hold the individual windows inside the main\nwindow. Vegas, Sonar, Photoshop come instantly to mind. Float the window\nmodules where you want them.

Hi Ronny,
\n\n\n\n
I think you misunderstood what I mean. I\ndon't have the "01v96" window maximized. It's as small as possible to\nfit the "Layer (Main View)" and "Master" into this\n01v96-main window. It nearly looks like the SM1-Main Window, which instantly\nconsisted of the Main Layer itself. If I now open an editor, I cannot move this\neditor away (on my 2nd screen e.g.) because it must not leave the 01v96-main\nwindow. It's like in Logic now, or any other MS-Windows-Program.
\n\n\n\n
Well, I made two screenshots:
\n\n\n\n
\n\n
If it's now all modular, it would be better\nto have NO main window, but everything open as floating windows, which can be\nfreely positioned on the desktop. That's the biggest advantage of the MacOS, I\nthink. Now boring Main program window with grey background which has now\nmeaning but limiting the room for the programs sub-windows.
\n\n\n\n
And: Is there no possibility anymore to\nlet SM Re-sync after startup automatically? Only a small thing, but also\nannoying. SM1 was syncing after launching instantly. And if I manually sync\nSM2, I have to tell him the direction and I have to uncheck "All lib"\neverytime. SM1 was smart enough to know which direction might be the right one.
\n\n\n\n
And of course... your opinion about the\nC414 TLII as an all-purpose-mike, mostly for vocals, is still appreciated..!\n:-)
\n\n\n\n
Thanks, Flo
