\n\nDave, I don't suppose you might have a picture of \n that case you could post or email would you. I am curious at what \n configuration you chose and why(does the case have a place for the external \n pres or not).\n\n \n-----Original Message-----\n

Subject: RE: \n [01v96] Case For ConsoleI \n just received a new case custom made by Olympic Case in Tampa. Don't \n take chances with Gator or SKB. If you are spending $2k on a piece of \n gear that really isn't road ready, take care of it. The case \n cost me just under $400, but I feel much more comfortable using it than I \n would in the SKB or Gator case. Trust me on this!!!!! \n\n\n \n-----Original Message-----Hey guys, I would like your opinions on a \n case for my new 01v96 I

just received. I have read the posts on the \n skb. I personally am old
fashioned and don't like to mix vertically, \n so I prefer something a
little flatter. I did see Gator's console \n racks and this looks good
because the digimax lt could stay connected \n to the console. As
things stand now I will be doing mostly live \n recording with an hd24
or d2424. After tracking a show I need to be \n able to pull the
console up to the computer to tie into nuendo. I have \n also found a
ATA case on ebay here

The \n latches on that case bother me a little. The thing about the
Gator \n console rack is that I wouldn't be able to set the console on
a desk \n and put my legs under it. I guess I could put it on a wooden
box or \n something next to the desk to make it the same height. I do
like the \n fact that the digimax lt would be in the same rack.
On another \n note what are you guys using for optical cables. I have a
bunch of 10' \n Hosa toslink to toslink that I got for about ten bucks
a pop. The \n thing I don't like about them is that they are hard to
plug and \n unplug. I have a friend that has one of the heavier gold
series cables \n from Radio Shack that feels alot better and is easier
to patch, but it \n cost about forty bucks a piece. Come to think of it
I don't know if \n the larger connectors would all fit into the 9652
HDSP sound card. Let \n me know what your thoughts and experiences are
with the case and the \n cables as well as any vendors you have had
good luck with. Thanks, \n Nicolas
