\n\n----- Original Message -----\nFrom: \n TB-AV\n \nSent: Thursday, December 04, 2003 11:42 \n AM\nSubject: [01v96] OT:Yahoo\n\n\nMan, my post are starting to show up in reverse \n order!\n\nYou would think that might make my normal \n bassackwards logic sound reasonable, but it doesn't. It makes it twice a \n dumb.\n\n\nNot really, two negatives make a positive. It's all about how you \n look at things in life. :O)\n\nYou can also set the FX returns with the ST IN virtual faders in \n SM, but as you know from your previous Yammy digi console experience, 3 \n o'clock is optimum for fx returns and when the virtual knob on the \n hardware display is at 3 o'clock (blackened) the ST IN fader in SM will \n be at -0dB nominal or equity. Using the ST IN's for stereo buss fx, it's a set \n it and forget it scenario, if you just set the ST IN knobs to black as soon as \n you open the V for the first time with Initial Data, (while in Home \n 1-16/17-32). Than work with Aux 1-4 for your individual channel wet blend in \n their respective fader modes and you won't have to worry about the ST IN's \n anymore. By going equity with the returns, you'll never have to reset the fx \n returns when you change scenes and fx on all scenes will be the same gain, \n until you alter them via the Aux 1-4 individual channel faders. Keep Aux 1-4 \n Master faders at 0dB, that's default as the calibration for them is not the \n white fader numbers, but the blue ones. All the way to the top is really \n -0dBFS on the Aux Masters. If anyone doesn't understand \n fully what I'm saying, I'll be happy to explain it \nfurther.\n\nKeep On Trackin'\n\nRonny Morris - Digitak Mastering\n
