\n\n----- Original Message -----\nFrom: \n Nicolas \n Lowman\n \nSent: Friday, December 19, 2003 1:15 \n AM\nSubject: [01v96] Live Tracking\n\nHello \n everyone.I have a question about tracking live with the 01v96. Right now I am \n borrowing an HD24 to track some live shows with the 01v and some digimax lts \n as the front end. My plans were to purchase an HD24 of my own as soon as I can \n save the money. Currently I have an RME9652 sound card which I can dump \n the tracks in and do editing in Nuendo on the computer while mixing on the \n console. My thoughts are that instead of pending the $ 1500 on the HD24, to \n spend that money on good pc with a fast processor, ram a plenty, and \n some of those Western Digital 10,000 RPM Raptor SATA hard drives. Put all that \n in a shockmount road case, and track live to it.
\nMind you this PC would not be
\n
1.connected to the web.
2.used for writing letters or email
3.used for gaming
4.used for any \n other purpose other than recording and editing AUDIOTHIS WOULD BE A STANDALONE DAW. That only I would \n be working on.
\nI know that there are people that track live to a \n computer all the time, I am just curious as to what your opinions are on this \n matter. (See someone is asking for your own biased opinion.)
\nThank You all in advance for your input. \n
\nPS I enjoy being able to learn from all of your \n experiences on this board.
