\n
\nUnless they are changing the internals, the NIMH cells get quite hot in\nthe Standard and Rapid GE Chargers.  I get nearly the life from cheap\nnicads on a re-pack as I do from the NIMH cells that cost a lot more.

\nThat's with nickel metal batteries,  Have you sent then in to be
\nrebuilt?  How long do they last compared to the nicads.  Do they come
\nback with no evidence of being opened?  Do you know how they open
\nthem?  I have a few old batteries and I opened one just to see what it
\ntook but, I had to pry like crazy and there was a lot of cracking and
\nmarking; I don't know how they would try to re-seal it.
\n
\nI see a few places selling an aftermarket battery (made in Hong Kong)
\nfor $27 to $35.  Has anyone used them?  I've been told these batteries
\nhave wire rather than the flat ribbon contacts and are missing the
\nheat circuit and other internal electronics.
\n
\nI need a few MPA batteries; any suggestions on where to get good cheap
\nbatteries.
\nThanks for the help!!!!!!!!
