\nMost likely you just need to re-program the personality.

\n
\n
\nI've got several questions to ask and I'm not sure which would be the
\nbest way to start, so I guess I'll start with this.
\n
\nI sold a UHF MPA radio to a friend of mine and he now has all the
\nequipment to program the MPA radio. I've explained how to program the
\nradio and what to do and what NOT to do.. Well after a short time has
\npassed and I get a message that my friend did a WHAT NOT TO DO!
\n
\nWhat happened is he left his radio powered up and connected the
\nprogram cable and started to program the radio. In his message he
\nstated the radio now Beeps and the LCD displays NO LOCK Flashing.
\n
\nI asked my friend to bring all the programming equipment, radio etc
\nto me and I'll do the best I can. Making NO promises.I was able to
\nget the radio to take a programming. The radio works like it should
\nexcept the Receiver is deaf. So I'm guessing that when he connected
\nthe program cable to the UDC connector while the radio was powered up
\nit smoked the receiver.
\n
\nI kept his radio and pulled one of my personal radios and fixed it up
\nfor him. My Question is this, Is there anyone in the group that had
\nthis type of problem and if so what did you do to get it repaired? I
\nknow parts are becoming fewer and fewer as time goes on. So if anyone
\ncould help me in this I would like to know.
\n
\nI told my friend that I don't know how much it was going to cost to
\nreplace the radio that he has now, being it was one of my personal
\nradios.
\nSo the hunt begins for working 4 button scan UHF MPA with a combo of
\nPAU02 450-470 MHz.
\n
\nJust curious ? I see a few 4 button scan radio on Ebay with a combo
\nnumber of PAPTXX . Would it be possible to take the RF deck off a
\nworking PAU02 MPA and place it upon the front section of the other
\nradio and reprogram it to work?
\nI'm hoping this may be the case, cause it can work then I will know
\nwhat to tell my friend what it will cost him to replace the radio he
\nnow has.
\n
\nPlease let me know and thank you in advanced
