\n
\n It would likely mean the install has some issue. One good\n one is the drive spec of the directory is not the same as\n when it was installed.
\n The first time the software is run it maps the directories\n and drive letter into a control file. I do not recall what\n it is called of the top of my head but it will be dated\n when the software was firs run as opposed to dates of when\n the software was written. make a temp directory and move\n it into that. The next time you run the sw it should build\n a new version. If all the files are there, the write\n function should be fixed..
\n
\n The bigger concern is you are unable to read. This is a\n hardware problem or maybe Windows if you are trying to run\n the DOS sw in a Windows shell..
\n
\n To trouble shoot further you need to be a little more\n concise about the programming environment as I assume you\n have something wrong and you have not described what\n cables, ribs, OS etc you are running.

\n If I try to read the radio, as soon as the handshake\n begins, the radio beeps and goes to primary channel\n and the software gives me a check connection recycle\n radio error.
\n
\n When trying to program good files, after the initial\n handshaking, an error message pops up, "Cannot execute\n write. No such file or directory. Press enter to\n continue"
\n
\n I can go into maintenance and adjust parameters like\n squelch and power levels (tested afterwords) so the\n radio DOES communicate with the software.
\n
\n Programmer software v5.1 (2005) wont read it either.\n Error right after handshaking attempt shows "Invalid\n Read -- Read Aborted. Turn off radio"
\n
\n I do not seem to be able to re-flash a personality in\n it either.
\n
\n ANY ideas would be welcomed.

\n Thanks
