The digital voice daughter board installed into a \n radio is also
plugged into the radio's control data bus, and IS AN ACTIVE \n DEVICE on
this bus.

Non digital voice flashcodes, which also \n include ham flash ARE NOT
structured to support any device on this bus \n other than the
control/logic board itself.

Digital voice \n flashcodes ARE structured to support this extra device
on the \n bus.

The presence of this device on this bus could cause a data failure \n on
the bus, causing the radio to malfunction, or worse, totally lock-up. \n

Yes, you can leave the digital voice board installed, but it is not \n
reccomended.  It only takes about 5-10 minutes to disassemble the \n
radio, remove the board, and reassemble the radio.  The radio is then \n
flashed with the desired code.

Just my 2-cents \n worth...
