\n\n\n \nHi Vince,\nYes, you can do this!!!\n\n\n\nMUTE (BAR): UDC Pin #11\nOn the M-PA (family) and M-PD radios, there is a MUTE (BAR)\nline available on the UDC. \n\nIt goes LOW when the receiver is muted and high when the\nreceiver is unmuted. It is an open collector type of\noutput, so an external pull-up resistor might be needed to\nbe used. \n\nWide open = HIGH state\nShorted = LOW state\n\nNOTE: This UDC pin changes state regardless of any audio\naccessory(s) being connected to the radio's UDC.\n\n\nI have used this line to build several 1-watt 'lunchbox'\nrepeaters for surveillance applications. I always used a\nPhelps-Dodge RCC/IMTS type six cavity UHF duplexer, cut the\nend brackets in half, and mount it in the lid of a hip-roof\nAladdin aluminum lunchbox. (3 cavities on each side.) \nStick a BNC female connector on the top and connect a\n1/4-wave whip. \n\nSmall, low-power, self-powered and sneaky. :o))\n\n\n\nRegards,\nMark Cobbeldick\n\n\nPS: Sorry for the delay on this. Been busy all weekend\ngetting my garden turned and ready for Spring planting. \nOnly now getting caught-up on e-mails...\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMessage: 1 \n Date: Sat, 11 Mar 2006 17:29:53 -0500\n From: Vincent Caruso <vcaruso@...>\nSubject: M-PA or M-PD finding a COR\n\nDose anyone know where I can find the COR on an M-PA or\nM-PD portable?\nI need to make a small cross band repeater and these\nradios would be \nideal. the box would be similar to the CHP motor cycle\nextender.\n\nThanks\n\n\n\n\n__________________________________________________\nDo You Yahoo!?\nTired of spam?
