This time I just made the \n mistake of flashing it with an Aegis type flash, only later to find out it \n didn't have an Aegis (DSP) board.\n\nIt worked fine however, even with the wrong \n flash. But when I wanted to re-flash it with the correct flash, it didn't \n work.\n\nEither I hit enter too many times by accident, or \n my battery blinked.\n\nIt keep getting stuck on "Unable to wake up \n Radio", and then Reseting Flash, Erasing Flash. Just doesn't do \n anything.\n\nI'll give it another go, with the power cycles, \n\n\nI'm using a Price 96 by the way, it's works \n better then the TQ3370.\n\nThanks for the info, i'll let everyone know how \n it goes.\n\nMickel (KD5FJV)\n\n----- Original Message -----\nFrom: \n Gary Peterson\n \nSent: Saturday, May 27, 2006 6:58 \n PM\nSubject: Re: [GE-Mpa] "Bricked" \n MPA\nMickel;
It's not bricked. It may have had a real \n problem before you ever started.
First, see what board is in \n it. 068 or 081.
The URP9600 or PGM MODE display isn't a \n requirement for the radio to
flash, just to program.
On the 068 \n boards, I have flashed ones that appeared to be lost in
space, you just \n have to be patient and power the radio on and off,
perhaps 6-8 times, \n and eventually I have always gotten the radio to
erase and \n re-flash.
081 boards should pretty much always flash with a few tries \n on the power
off/on. If not, then the board may be bad.
You \n must know the board type and if there is a digital board in place
before \n you flash, otherwise you can flash the wrong software into the
radio... \n and they act pretty sick with the wrong software \n installed.
