Hold the blue button\ndown and power up... if the VHF has an "I" as the first letter in the\ncode displayed, you are good to go without changing boards.

\nexkal_mobile wrote:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHi gang.
\n
\n
\nI'm hoping someone here (Mark? :) ) can answer this for me.
\n
\nLet's say I have the following:
\n
\n-800MHz EDACS System M-PA
\n-UHF EDACS Scan M-PA
\n-VHF Conv. Scan M-PA
\n
\nAnd I want to end up with the following:
\n
\n-800MHz EDACS Scan M-PA
\n-UHF Conv. Scan M-PA
\n-VHF Hamflash System M-PA
\n
\nIs any of that possible?
\n
\nI was thinking all I'd have to do is:
\n
\n-Remove the Scan (Conv) keypad from the VHF radio.
\n-Remove the Scan (EDACS) keypad UHF radio.
\n-Remove the System keypad from the 800MHz radio.
\n-Remove the EDACS board from the UHF radio.
\n-Remove the Conventional board from the VHF radio.
\nthen
\n-Put the EDACS board into the VHF radio with the System keypad.
\n-Put the Conventional board into the UHF radio with the Conv. Scan
\nkeypad.
\n-Put the EDACS Scan keypad on the 800MHz radio.
\n
\nAnd, of course, reconfigure the radios accordingly.
\n
\nAm I out to lunch with what I'd like to do, or is it possible? As
\nyet, none of the radios have the Hamflash in them, but that can
\nchange.
\n
\nAlso, I've never flashed a GE radio before - what all is required? I
\ndo have access to an OEM RIB which can do flashing, and an OEM cable.
\n
\nThanks a million guys :)
