\nThere's no support for spanning in the drivers. The 3Dlabs cards
\nhave some desktop hackery that let you stretch your task bar
\nacross all the heads (but it doesn't behave in the normal way
\nwhen you do) and maximize windows across all the heads. This
\nassumes you don't have a second monitor as well as your T221,
\nthough - which makes it useless for me (and, IIRC, for Pierre).
\nHence my move to a 6800GTo (plus the better Linux support). It
\nstill doesn't fix everything; spanning would be the way to go,
\nif it could be made to work.
\n
\n(I *am* running my 6800GTo spanned, but in 2xsingle link; not
\nfor any particular reason, I could just as easily run a single
\ndual link. Attempting to get a 1900XTX running with a VP2290b,
\nthe driver wasn't playing ball with even this as a stretched
\nmode.)
\n
\nThe Realizms *do* have support for spanning under Linux, but
\nthe two heads have to have the same resolution/timings - so two
\nconverter boxes, or 2x single-link.

\n
\nYou've spotted why I settled for 25Hz out of my GTo and decided
\nto come back to it later... :-)
\n
\nThanks for all your hard work, though - at least it saves us
\nretreading the same steps. If I get anywhere near 48Hz when
\nI eventually do get the chance to look at it again, I'll report
\nback.
