\n\n\nI've had a Dell 3007WFP for about a month now, and I've gotten used to it, \neven though I prefer some aspects of my Sony GDM-FW900 CRT monitor. I've \nbeen curious about the IBM T221 and Viewsonic VP2290b for well over a year \nnow, and it was great to see the side by side comparison in the video (even \nif the video quality was not ideal--specifically dealing with the low light \nlevel in the room, relative brightness of the screens, and changing focus). \nThose IBM T221 class monitors certainly have a lot going for them with the \nhigh pixel density and small pixel pitch. If only someone would make one \nthat has a simple plug and play interface that provides full resolution at a \ndecent 60Hz refresh using a single connector, and works with high-end gaming \ncards instead of those quirky professional level cards, and runs with an SLI \nor quad-SLI system. A slightly better viewing angle and pixel response time \nwould also be highly desirable. In the meantime I'll have to suffer with \nthe big clunky pixels of my Dell.\n\nThanks again for the video. It's great to see the two side by side like \nthat.\n\n-David Chace (Targzissian)\n\n\n\n\n\nFrom: Sandon Van Ness <sandon@...>\nReply-To: IBM_T2X_LCD@yahoogroups.com\nTo: IBM_T2X_LCD@yahoogroups.com\nSubject: Re: [IBM_T2X_LCD] Re: Dell 30" vs. Viewsonic VP2290b Comparison\nDate: Wed, 04 Oct 2006 06:02:17 -0700\n\nFeels weird replying to myself, but here is the vid:\n\nhttp://www.houkouonchi.net/vp2290b/vp2290b-3007wfp-comparosin.avi\n\nSandon Van Ness wrote:\n\n\n\nI will take a vid or something draging windows and stuff between them to \nreally show the difference.\n\nI just ordered a ati firemv 2200 PCI to try to see if I can get 33.7 Hz \ngoing on a laptop using a docking station (PCI card required). the the \nquadro fx 600 would definitely work; however, it doesnt look like it will \nfit (half-width card required). I guess I will let people know how it \nturns out.\n\nsosantoso wrote:\n\n\n\n\nSandon,\n\nreally appreciate the pics; keep them coming. Clearly shows the major \ndifference in pixel density between the VP and 3007. I can't wait to see \nmy twins (VPs) in Dec.\n\n\n\n\n\n Yahoo! Groups Links\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Yahoo!
