\n\n\nHello\nEveryone,
\n\n
The price on\na new DG5 a year and a half\nago was $3000 online so I would say that they are worth $2000 new at\nthe most……\ndon’t waste your money!
\n\n
The\nvp2290bs’s are definitely the\nway to go as they can also give 24fps and have a refresh rate of 41hz\nideal for\nvideo and stills.
\n\n
LCD’s are\nknown to last for more\nthan 15-20 years so I don’t forsee that the vp2290b’s are going to\nbe defunct anytime soon.
\n\n
The\nvp2290b’s are exactly the same\nas the T221… there is absolutely no difference…..
\n\n
I am happy\nwith my Quad vp2290b setup…\npaid less for them than 1 new DG5!!!

\n\n\n\n\n\nThe difference is much greater than $100.\nThere are\nnew DG5's
\n
\navailable (not "supposedly" ), but none for $2,600; not even\nclose.
\n
\nA vp2290b would not do the job for those who need 48Hz vertical
\nrefresh rate. Then there's also the question of how much longer a
\n2002 vintage vp2290b will last.
\n
\nFor those who need WQUXGA and 48Hz, the DG5 is worth every penny.
\nThere isn't anything else available, and there won't be anything like
\nit in the foreseeable future.
