Subject: Re: \n [Motorola_Software_ Users] XTS3000 programming - "Volume Set \n Tone"
Volume Set Tone is almost self explanatory. When the button is \n pressed
the radio generates a tone which is fed through the audio amp \n stages so
that the user can set the volume of the received audio. Neat \n idea but
usually not accurate vs actual received audio. Only comes in \n handy on
radios that are used on treunked systems and never have a \n channel that can
be unsquelched. The idea originated on the Mostar and \n Traxar 800 trunked
radios and has been around ever since. It is not \n needed, only a
semi-convienience.
