I just bought a used Systems Saber III. I am sending it in for
programming shortly. I will not be using the secure mode of this
radio. Someone told me I could have that switch be programmed to be
the on/off toggle for scan. Is this true? I also was told that the
traditional way you have to activate it is with the menu buttons on
the side and if you have the radio in scan and turn it off, when you
turn it on again, you will have to manually put it back in scan. Is
this accurate? I hope not, because I am in law enforcement and need to
be in scan 99% of the time and also turn my radio on and off alot. I
am beginning to wonder if i made a mistake buying this radio.
