: disks. My 1550 had a dead floppy.)
: 2. Insert your boot floppy into the drive.
: 3. Turn the 1530 ON.
: 4. Wait for the beep that comes immediatly after
: the ram test.
: 5. After you hear the beep, immediately press the
: F key. (This is the key between D and G on
: the keyboard.) 
: Your computer should now boot from the floppy.
: The number of times you press the F key is not
: too critical, but WHEN you press it is very
: critical. Press it too soon or too late and
: you'll boot from the hard disk.
